GCSE is divided into two phases, the IGCSE and A levels.

IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education):

IGCSE is a two-year programme (Years 9 and 10) leading to externally set, marked and certificated examinations from the University of Cambridge. Students taking IGCSE will be gaining a qualification that is recognised globally, that keeps pace with educational developments and trends. It is an ideal foundation for higher level courses such as AS and A Levels and the International Baccalaureate Diploma. Students typically sit seven or eight subjects in one session at the end of Year 10. Al Mustaqbal school offers the following IGCSE subjects:

Compulsory Subjects: Arabic; English; Mathematics;

Options available in: Art and Design; Biology; Business Studies; Chemistry; Environmental Management; Physics and ICT.

A Levels (Advanced Level qualifications):

A levels are a U.K subject-based qualification for students aged 16 and above. They are usually studied over the course of 2 years (Years 11 and 12), and lead to qualifications recognised for entrance to higher education institutes in the UK and many others worldwide including MIT, Harvard and Cambridge. Al Mustaqbal school offers the following A level subjects:

Arabic; Biology; Business Studies; Chemistry; Environmental Management; ICT; Computer Science; IPQ; Mathematics; Physics.

Al Mustaqbal school offers additional courses, such as English Language which prepares pupils for the IELTs. In addition to a comprehensive Careers Guidance Programme which takes them through University choices and applications. More A level subjects are likely to be added as the school grows.
